Hello, my name is Jennifer. I am a second generation wedding photographer who started out as my mother’s assistant at her weddings. She is one of the most talented people I know! I am so inspired by her creativity and am very grateful that she shared her love of photographing people with me. As my business continued to grow, around 2006 my husband joined me and we became a family of photographers. He is an exceptional photographer with a very creative eye. While I take the lead as the face of the business and in customer service with our clients, I am able to do so with the backing of my favorite people.

Artisan offers boutique-style photography specializing in weddings and family portriture. Throughout the years new clients frequently comment that they chose Artisan because of our distinct style; our photos are known for being colorful, yet still true to life. As years go by, editing styles and fads in photography come and go, but we have always felt that timeless, high-end photography is a beautiful result of experienced photographers knowing their craft and the personalities of their couples. We enhance our images during our post production process without losing the realistic look of life and love. While Southern California is home, traveling internationally for destination weddings is a welcomed thrill as we have been hired to photograph weddings out-of-state, as well as in England and Korea. I excel at working with my destination brides, even with 8+ hours time zone differences! My goal is to make the planning process run smoothly for all of my couples, regardless of being local or long distance, by working closely on the planning of their wedding day schedule, coordinating with the various other vendors whom I will be sharing the wedding day with, and devoting much effort to get to know my couples and families.

Brides have asked me so many times, “How do you get such natural expressions?” The answer is simple, when clients feel comfortable, their true personalities shine through. There is an art to coaching clients into positioning and then letting them be themselves. The greatest compliment I can receive is the multiple weddings that I have photographed for siblings of past brides & grooms. Naturally, the family photography side of my business has developed from my brides who have called personally to announce their first baby and multiple years thereafter for annual family portraits. It is an honor to be invited to be an integral part of someone’s life. The end result of my involvement in these special moments is what they have as their memories for the rest of their lives! Its a responsibility and a privilege; it makes me so happy when I reminisce over the photos of the wonderful people I have met over all these years!
